Field Print Production Officer - Juba

Are you interested in a rewarding career opportunity with a humanitarian organization? We are looking for a Field Print Production Officer to join our team in Juba, SouthSudan.

The Production Officer is the focal person in the delegation to develop and implement communication projects and to purchase/produce print and promotional items.  S/he is also responsible for planning and implementing the Field Production Book (FPB) process at the delegation level.  S/he will develop and implement the aforesaid activities under the supervision of the Operational Communication Officer and the Regional Print Production Officer for the Regional Communication Centre in Nairobi.  S/he contributes to representing the ICRC externally and to build the necessary understanding, acceptance and support of the ICRC among stakeholders. S/he is the focal person for administrative tasks within the Communication department.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent higher degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Communication or Print Production. Postgraduate studies in related areas are an asset.
• Proven experience in developing, field testing and launching communication tools and products tailored to the political, cultural and socio-economic environment of South Sudan. 
• Creative and effective communicator.
• Organized, able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Ability to work effectively under limited supervision in a team environment.
• 3 to 5 years prior experience in the production of communication tools / products. Experience in a humanitarian environment an asset.  
• Excellent and practical knowledge in Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher. Capacity to learn and use additional computer applications an asset.
• Willingness to travel to remote locations to engage communities in field test of production tools.
• Fluency in English and average in Arabic.
