Position : VP, Enterprise Account Executive

Passionate about driving growth? Join SMG as an Enterprise Account Executive!  

As an Enterprise Account Executive, you will pursue and expand our portfolio of global enterprise accounts.  You will both create relationships with and land new accounts, and lead growth in 4-5 current enterprise accounts.  When successful, you’ll drive multimillion dollar growth in annual recurring revenue commitments.

You’ll do so by leveraging energized teams of Customer Success, Insights Consulting, and Technical Services professionals who have positioned SMG as the restaurant and retail CX leader with clear differentiation in the services we wrap around our strengthening software platform, differentiation Forrester describes well in their Q1 2023 Wave for Customer Feedback Management: “SMG continues to be a strong choice for B2C organizations and is also worth considering for organizations that want a strong services partner that can deliver insights.”  “Reference customers raved about the services for delivering actionable insights and how easy SMG is to work with.”

You are a great candidate for SMG if you are an expert in the Customer Experience Measurement (CX) market with the ability to communicate value to the CEO of multi-billion dollar industry leading companies.  Leveraging both your personal savvy in senior executive relationship development and your depth of business understanding of company’s opportunities to drive revenue with more effective CX management  You will serve as senior brand ambassador for SMG and represent the broad scale of our company solutions serving as account lead externally with accountability for getting us to Closed-Won, and our account quarterback internally responsible for activating a winning, cross-functional strategy for client success and growth.

In this position, you will:

  • Relentlessly  pursue and grow named global new logo brands.  Establish, expand, secure new revenue, and meet aggressive expansion/NRR goals.
  • Serve as the Account lead for your assigned accounts focused on continuously increasing account health, expanding the value of the program while meeting aggressive GRR goals
  • Work closely with SMG Solution engineering and insights leaders to provide evidence of our unique Software with a Service (“SwaS”) model.
  • Identify the client’s decision-making process and players, build the winning strategy, marshal internal resources, communicate clearly with C-suite and executive team members both internally and externally, and help clients see value where they’ve yet to discover it.
  • Align/Inform product and operations of market trends and client needs driving company evolution.
  • Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, to meet account performance objectives for assigned accounts.
  • Proactively lead a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for mutually agreed periods.
  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis.

  • Track record of winning (and innate personal desire to win) $1M+ ARR enterprise software deals against strong competitors.
  • Knowledge of / experience in the Customer Experience Measurement space including up-to-date awareness of competitors and market specific practices in SMG’s restaurant, retail and consumer services target vertical markets.
  • Minimum 10 years strategic sales and account management experience in a technology based B2B sales environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong client trust.
  • Demonstrated ability to request and orchestrate the support of colleagues in a shared service setting.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Strong appreciation for sales automation tools designed to facilitate CRM goal management and account mapping.
  • Available to travel as required.
  • You are data driven, yet comfortable with ambiguity; work well with large amount of information, yet able to synthesize simple truths.
  • Our clients buy based on the insight we create with data and need to feel that in the sales cycle.
