Provide training and workshops. As field officer in charge of the field office, I was tasked with capacity building of staff. I designed scope of work, project budget and presented it to supervisor for further inputs and subsequent approval. When approval is done, I go ahead to conduct training. Training ranges from protection, gender mainstreaming, security and general staff management among others;
Monitor the political, security and humanitarian situation in the area of operation and provide regular updates to management for further analysis and decision. I am always mindful of staff’s security and safety of the asset of agency;
Liaise with local authorities, stakeholders and partners in development to collaborate in coordinating and mobilizing communities to actively participate in program activities. I am an interlocutor; I link communities and agencies for appropriate engagement and participation;
Participate in state cluster meetings and share updates with stakeholders, local authorities and relevant ministry. Meetings are important because it’s where organizations get to know what didn’t go well and how to adjust.
